The Role
Enjoyed a lot - there were a lot of placement students so I made a good network of friends which added to the enjoyment
I was treated as a normal member of staff and didn't feel any different because I was on a placement
Lots of support - not only with work set by EDF Energy but also with university course work
Always felt like I had enough work to do, knew what to do I had too much and knew what to do if I needed more work
As before I was treated like a normal employee so had a lot of responsibility, was a very open organisation and I felt like I could have told my line manager if I wasn't coping wth the responsibility
I was asked regularly what I wanted to get involved in to benefit my degree studies so I could tailor it as much as I liked
The Company
Happy atmosphere, supportive colleagues and open inclusive environment
Received a very good handover from placement student who was there before me
I could receive as much onsite training as I desired. Additional training was also available if requested
Above 25 days holiday
I have an interview with this organisation next week
The Culture
Good network of young employees with apprentices, graduates and placement students
Varied prices around the area so I was able to chose how I wanted to live, unfortunately no public transport to workplace
Close to Edinburgh and Newcastle - both good social scenes
Many sections I had the oppprtunity to get involved in such as golf, theatre and fitness
