Summer Associate Review

It was an amazing opportunity and really look forward to starting with Deloitte as I have managed to secure a olace for afer I graduate! I would definitely recommend it to all 2nd year students as it is a really helpful insight to the actual audit work!

I was properly a part of the team and was engaging to everyday tasks as all the other team members! I had all the necessary equipment and all I needed to keep me going! I had access to all the information I needed as well as the sources of the company, I was encouraged to search and read through companies profiles to gain a better understanding of their business and I was even givent the chance for actual 1-1 meetings with the client!

People were really helpful! They would allow me to ask as many questions, even encourage me to do so, so it was really amazing in terms of how much I've learned in such a short time. They even helped me getting a job there with my interview answers and presentation preparation!

As I have many modules related to the accounting theory, business industry and especially audit, having the chance to be work in the field was what enabled me to enhance my knowledge and achieve higher results! They were definitely skills that I couldnt develop have I not been in Deloitte!

Everyone in Deloitte knew what they were doing, they were assessing us every step of the way and they were concerned of our progress. They were extremely helpful in terms of dealing everyday issues and even gave me a ride to my work place as it was far from home! People waited for us and made sure we make the most out of this experience!

I really felt like a part of the team. No one made me feel that I am not as important as any other team member or that I produce less work. They are all aware that we are there to learn from them so they make sure we make the most out of our experience. I made some valuable friendships as well!

They were really professional when it came to actually engaging with us. They started by paying for our travel costs and hotel rooms for a seminar in Birmingham, then we went on to enjoy 3 weeks of well paid internship amd finally we were given all the necessary equipment to make the most out of our experience. There were no drawbacks, nowhere were I felt like I was getting in the way of someone, everyone was there to serve the same purpose - to contribute to our experience!

I was already sure of the career path I wanted to follow before joining Deloitte and this is why I chose and fought so hard to get in. My expectations were satisfied and my experience justified my will to work for this company. I hope to make the most out of my professional experience as well! If this was not for me I would have changed this to something else as I would not want to start my career off something I do not feel passionate about!

All the day-to-day business related expenes along were reimbursed to us because this has to do with the fact that most of the clients were far from were I was living so that was the only way I could afford to go to the client. Furhermore we were paid for our experience at Deloitte and we were also treated with two dinners and a 2 days at a hotel in Birmingham for a seminar with 3-course dinner and a lunch.

Everyday work is a constant engagement with people at Deloitte. As we were working in groups it was only natural that we would engage with each other a lot and thus it was expected that we were all working together to produce the best possible outcome. There were also some directors and partners joining us at times and that gave me the opportunity to introduce myself and perhaps discuss with them on current subject in the business industry, such as Brexit, investments etc

I would strongly encourage people to work hard and prepare for the long but worthy pricess of recrutiment. After they are in they will see why It was worth it. Patience, dedication and preparation are some key words that are essential in our career path and I would string recommend peopleto not stop seeking jobs and opportunities after a failure - you never know when it is going to be a yes and truth is, you only need one yes.! So yes I would recommend this to a friend
