  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • All of the employees at Deloitte were very welcoming, I had great exposure in a professional environment, which provided me with very valuable experience.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • As soon as I arrived I was given work, I felt like I had responsibility on my shoulders and an asset to the team.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • All of the employees were ready to help and answer any questions that I had. I did not feel hesitant to ask for help at any occasion.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was given new work on a daily basis as I was allocated an employee to shadow for the day. Once I finished the work I would always ask for more and nearly every time I would be given more to do.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a good amount of responsibility such as research and performing duties on behalf of clients (such as enquiries to HMRC).

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I was working in the corporate tax division, unfortunately I do not have a taxation module in my third year but some of the knowledge I gained was applicable to other modules. The skills learned however were very valuable for my studies.

  • Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I was very impressed by the organisation of the internship. Every one of my days was planned out and I was given a timetable for my whole time at the beginning of the internship so I knew what to expect on rah days.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was given various digital lessons to do such as confidentiality etc. But I was not trained specifically in the division I was in.

  • I was fortunate enough to be offered a positon.

  • Social events were organised every week or so.

  • Cardiff, very affordable.
