The Role
My particular role was pretty dull and repetitive, and was completely compliance based which is not what I was looking for. I realised very early this was not the job for me.
My team valued my contributions.
If I had any questions they were answered and my manager encouraged me to meet with other people in the business to see where I might fit.
Constantly had work to do, which was not the case across all of my peers.
Worked in a small team so I was responsible for quite a bit.
Learnt a lot about what was in offer and what I'm looking for from a career, which was helpful. The technical knowledge I learned will probably never be used though.
The Company
My team was quiet but friendly, varied across teams
Felt as though we were bolted on to the graduates but only attended half the induction, had an official induction months into the placement.
Sent on technical courses in order for me to do my job.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Travel loan
If you want to be an accountant, they're great. It's just not what I want to do.
The Culture
Pretty good, made friends. Didn't go out with them that often though.
It's central London, what do you expect.
Again, it's central London, what do you expect?
There were some I wasn't particularly aware of them though and they weren't heavily advertised.
