About You
I really enjoyed my whole time at Deloitte, due to the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by the employees. It was a great opportunity to learn from both junior and senior employees whilst not feeling overly pressured.
Everybody was so friendly from day one where I was personally introduced to each member of the department which I thought was a nice touch. I was included in all of their weekly socials and well as the weekend BBQ at the directors house. I was given tasks similar to those of a graduate to participate in, although they were obviously checked after, and I was allowed to interact with high profile clients. Everybody went above and beyond to make me feel included and valued.
I thought their system of buddies was very good as there was always someone to talk to, and since my buddies were graduates themselves they were very relatable. Whenever I had a question there was always someone willing to answer.
It helped me decide whether or not this is the right career for me.
The Company
It was left to my buddies to structure and they did a very good job of this, however due to the nature of the firm and unpredictable clients there was occasionally some confusion.
Great.
Nothing was ever too much effort.
I was able to see exactly what would be expected of me in a graduate role.
Observing the daily interactions between all the employees enabled me to understand the working environment.
I was able to see exactly what would be expected of me in a graduate role by participating in tasks with people currently on the graduate scheme.
Everything Else
Paid a substantial amount as well as expenses reimbursed.
There were social events organised with other students on the summer vacation scheme in different departments.
Fun.
Yes there is a whole load of company societies and charity work to participate in.
Yes, very enjoyable and I learnt so much.
