The Role
I really enjoyed my internship at Allianz. I had the great opportunity to learn a lot during my stay and I would recommend anyone to apply at Allianz for a work experience.
I felt strongly valued by my team and I felt part of the team from the beginning on. Everyone in my team was nice and they gave me good feedback so I was able to develop my skills and knowledge.
The level of support was always very high - I had different contact person for every specific topic and everyone in the whole division was open to support me. My manager always had an eye on my progress and tasks, which was great.
Everyone in my team integrated me in her/his work and projects so I was able to see a lot of different processes. But I also had the responsibility for some individual projects. So I was always busy and had several challenges to cope with, but my colleagues never overstrained me.
I think I had a lot of responsibility as an intern through my individual projects.
The knowledge and experiences I gained during my internship definitely will assist me in my degree studies and beyond. The insights help me to understand the context of theory and practice much better know.
The Company
The atmosphere in my office was very friendly and cooperative. My colleagues helped me from the first day and allowed me to take part in their daily work.
The internship was well organized. Even before my internship started, my manager was keen to communicate many details and briefed me. At the beginning of the internship I received a list including all the tasks and projects for the time of my stay so that I could start to work on them.
I was allowed to take part in several trainings and events.

The future employment prospects within the organisation are very good. One could do a graduate scheme or start on an entry level. Maybe Allianz will be my future employer.
The Culture
Yes, there was a good network for all graduates and interns. We met privately as well.
The area was quite expensive, but I managed to find an affordable accomodation near the city.
The Nightlife in Guildford and towns in the surrounding consisted of pubs and a few clubs. It was always fun to go there with the other interns and graduates.
