The Role
I really liked the environment and culture of the firm and felt that the work I did was valued.
I felt very valued by the team and we all got along very well.
I wasn't given loads of guidance but this was mainly to ensure that I thought independently about my work and wasn't 'spoon fed'at any point.
I was working on a project so I dictated how busy I was.
I was given full responsibility for the content of my project.
It was really helpful, I learned a lot over the course of the summer.
The Company
It was a fun environment, just the right balance of work and laughs.
It was very well organised, especially seeing as the intern class was very large.
We had a very god week-long training programme at the start of the summer which was really through and covered a lot of material.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I was made a full time offer at the end of the summer.
The Culture
It was average, not as good as on previous internships.
Canary Wharf is pretty expensive!
Some nice bars but not many!
I'm aware of many sports clubs and charitable activities that employees can get involved in, as well as initiatives such as the women's network.
