The Role
The placement was very enjoyable and gave a good insight on how it would be to work for the company.
This is probably the best part about the placement. During my time working there I was treated very well and and made welcome by the people I came in contact with.
During my placement I was provided with plenty of support. If I needed help all I had to do was ask.
I was kept busy as possible, I rarely found myself having nothing to do.
I was given as much responsibility over my work as possible which gave me a good insight in what working in the industry would be like.
I believe the placement gave me a lot of skills that are valuable for a career such as building a network, presentational skills and time management being the main ones.
The Company
It was a very friendly environment in which I could socialise and discuss work with my colleague, an Ideal office environment in my opinion.
The internship was very well structured. It made things like getting set up and going on training very smooth and hassle free.
The company put a lot of importance in this area. They showed a real interest in my personal development and training such as paying for courses which included overnight stay, food and travel. This is another area I believe the company did very well.
I enjoyed my time during my placement and the company made it a very enticing prospect to work for them in future as they showed such a good interest.
The Culture
I felt very welcome during my placement and made friends while I was there, even going for social drinks with them after work on weekends. The training courses were also made social which was good.
For me it was very low cost as I lived in the area I worked and the social places are relatively inexpensive.
With a social group the nightlife in the area is fairly good, its no city but it is still enjoyable
If you are into walking up fells or like the countryside then the place is ideal
