    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • had regular meetings. Can't complain at the ongoing support from my Manager's and team leaders

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • To begin with it took a while to get used to the business so had limited amount of work. This increased as the time went on and my knowledge increased.

  • At the end of my placement I was considered a fully fledged employee with real responsibility and valued contribution.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • 100% feel more confident from my 12 month placement within Volvo financial services. This will help me throughout my final year studies as well as going forward as a graduate

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Was often quiet but always busy and my colleagues always spoke to me and cared what I had to say. Sometimes had Domino's pizza in the office so made it more relaxing and fun - social aspects of the role such as this is what I loved.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Definitely felt like this could have been improved. I loved my time but sometimes felt disconnected from other placement students. However there was a new placement student in HR who has met with the students to help improve this going forward.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Spent a lot of time shadowing colleagues. Never felt too pressured to know anything and could always ask for clarification. There was some training coursed which you could go on which I didn't really go on but they were there if needed.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised Canteen

    Sports and Social Club

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    Above 25 days holiday

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Not too sure on a graduate scheme but would consider going back for a normal role.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Not really. Although there is a lot of opportunity on team day's and training day's where you can mix with the team and see other students within my department.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Fine - lived not far away so didn't take long to get to work so wasn't too costly.

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I am used to the local nightlife so wouldn't say anything bad really.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not always. There was sometimes opportunity to go on a weekend day trip with the social club but had to pay.
