The Role
Overall a very enjoyable experience thanks to it being very well organised and providing me invaluable industry experience and insight.
Given a range of interesting tasks to do and received genuine gratitude for my efforts. I was invited to meetings and visits whenever possible to give me practical experience.
The team supported me in every sense; made me feel welcome and gave me responsibility to complete tasks independently as well as offering guidance along the way. Very good support and willingness to provide references in preparation for interviews.
Relatively busy. The team did their best to give me a range of tasks and always explained what I was required to do. The summer scheme organisers gave us a project to work on throughout the programme which filled my time otherwise.
I was given a lot of responsibility towards the end of the internship where I attended site inspections on my own and I guided a viewing of some office space independently.
The internship has provided me with industry insight and experience to apply some of the theory I am learning during my studies.
The Company
Positive atmosphere and close knit teams creating a welcoming environment.
Great organisation from the start to finish. Inductions were thorough and enjoyable, the team knew about me before I got there and had communicated with me in advance, lots of socials were organised and we were in constant contact with the HR team throughout the process should we be facing any difficulties.
We were given training about the firm for the first day then a more specific Real Estate induction training session on the second day. My supervisor always taught me about how the things I was doing related to my studies so I felt like I was developing myself on the job daily.
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing.
The Culture
Between the other summer vacation scheme students as well as the purely real estate students, we attended lots of socials that had been organised for us or that we had arranged ourselves.
Typical London prices.
Fairly good due to its central location, only ever a few stops away from anywhere you need to be after work.
Not so much at this stage but the graduates in my team told me about opportunities they've had since joining the firm.
