About You
I enjoyed working in a tight knit audit team and gaining an insight into how audits work as it allowed me to put into perspective the concepts and technicalities I was taught on my Audit module in second year.
I felt valued and apart of the audit team however I wasn't given as much responsibility as I hoped.
I received lots of support from numerous staff members including the HR team and the audit team.
My teamwork skills developed during the internship will be beneficial to my future.
The Company
It was very well structured, the relevant person emailed me before each new audit and gave me details on the client I was working on, the location and how to get there.
Very professional and a true insight on how the real job is.
Very well invested. First day two days were an induction event at a nice hotel where I got to know people in my department and other departments. Third day was hands on training at the office I applied to, how to use the laptops and programmes specific to my department. Also invited to socials every week.
Very true and realistic view.
Not much about the company culture as I was working at client site throughout my whole internship.
Very helpful as I enjoyed the travelling and team work spirit that came within working in the audit department.
Everything Else
Paid and reimbursed travel expenses
Yes, socials every week and initial 2 day induction allowed for networking with other svs students and people who already work at the firm
Very well organised and a good way of meeting other svs students.
Yes, inquired the audit team and they told me various sports they were involved in e.g. deloitte cricket team.
Yes definitely gave a true insight into audit industry.
