The Role
I really enjoyed my placement year at Grant Thornton. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, helping to make the experience really enjoyable.
I was always made to feel really valued by my colleagues at Grant Thornton. Everyone was genuinely really encouraging and helpful at all times, a general culture across Grant Thornton.
I was always given support by [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] my managers and superiors. My managers throughout the year were always very supportive, always taking time to check in with you. Very easy to speak to managers here as everyone is always very happy to help.
Varied from time to time, had quiet periods but there was always something that needed to be done.
I was given a lot of responsibility throughout my placement year along with support if it was needed.
The skills i have learned from Grant Thornton will be extremely valuable to me throughout my degree and in any corporate environment. Grant Thornton place a lot of time on their employees. They invest loads in training and development for their employees and very good at informing their staff of key trends in the market.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was great. Everyone is really friendly and fun, however at the same time very hard working and committed.
Well organised. My placement year lasted for 12 months and i did two rotations, giving me the exposure to two different tax teams.
Grant Thornton invest a lot in training and development for their employees. I attended my training sessions, courses away from the office and a lot of training throughout. This was great because it allowed me to really understand what i was doing.
