The Role
The subject was great, my manager left so there was a transition with the second one. Some really stressful situations sometimes. Overall it was a positive experience
I rarely felt like an intern with my colleagues in Geophysics
My two managers were always here and supportive
Very busy, I had to work during weekends to catch up sometimes.
I was intern representative and it was great. I also had to present every week my results to my team and I will probably write an article for the EAGE.
It is for life. All I learned during my internship will always be useful. People in SGR are really skilled and expert so the quality demanded is high.
The Company
We were 5 to begin, then 6 and 2. There were always a good atmosphere, fun but also quiet. We always had a good balance between work and fun.
It was good, the transition between my two managers went quite fine with some issues but overall good.
The company always tried to put the maximum in my training.
Company Parties/Events
I would like to work again within the compnay, sadly budget cuts in Geosciences don't allow a lot of hiring.
The Culture
It was very good in general. However, some interns are young and a bit immature sometimes.
Cambridge is very expensive, sometimes even more than some places in London! It limits the time socialising.
I heard it is good but I didn't go to any clubs, first because I am not that interested and second I preferred to chill.
There were opportunities however the city is small so the choices are limited.
