Placement Scheme Review

I thoroughly enjoyed the insight. The talks were extremely helpful to get a real insight into what sort of work is involved in each sector, then the time I spent in my department was fantastic. Everyone was willing to help me and offer me lots of jobs to help them with.

Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and when I had a question I did not feel worried about asking as everybody was willing to give their time to help you.

We were given fantastic guidance on exactly how to complete the work and why it was important, but it was not so much that we didn't need to think about it.

It was great to see how my degree is applied in reality as a lawyer and being in the environment has further boosted me to want to become a lawyer at Stephenson Harwood!

This scheme was fantastically structured, there was always something to do and the days flew by as a result!

The atmosphere was great, everyone was very friendly, we were given lots to do and there was many opportunities to meet trainees etc to get an insight into where we might be in a couple of years time!

We were given great talks on the sectors in the firm that were vital to understanding how our studies are applied, as well as being given real work to complete by trainees and our supervisors which was extremely interesting.

The insight gave me a great insight into the culture in the firm, how the training contract is structured and the opportunities it affords you. I also got a good insight into the sort of work that may be completed by a new trainee in my department, such as marking up a licence.

I think the insight the scheme gave me into the firms culture was invaluable and is a fantastic quality of the firm.

Extremely helpful! It has really pushed me in my drive to become a lawyer and has allowed me to really picture myself at the firm.

I was given payment to cover travel and accommodation expenses for the week. We were also often provided with lunch!

There were talks with a member of each of the firms departments allowing us the opportunity to talk to people that work in all different sectors, and ask any questions we had which was highly insightful. There also was opportunities to talk with trainees at lunches, and anyone working at Stephenson Harwood I feel would be happy to answer any questions if you approached them.

We were often provided lunch with the trainees, and a social event for drinks with the trainees is also organised.

From talking to my trainee buddy and the HR team, I was able to find out about the fantastic opportunities including various sports teams and corporate social responsibility work.

I would definitely recommend this insight.
