About You
I was given interesting and varied work and felt part of the team
I was not just a vacation scheme intern that they had to provide some kind of work to. I was given real work and my input and abilities were valued. The team also made the effort to teach me about the bigger picture.
I was always supported and tasks were explained thoroughly
I have a lot more examples and experience that I can use for future applications. I also have a better understanding of the role of a trainee solicitor
The Company
The week was well structured and everything ran on time and with precision
The team and the graduate team were very welcoming, positive and encouraging.
I was only there for a week so the firm didn't really have the time to invest much training. However we were given workshops that were insightful and interesting for our future
The firm showed me he kind of work I could be working on and the supportive and training I would be given as a trainee
Everyone I met was welcoming and made me feel part of the team, from the staff at reception, to my department and the graduate team
The week confirmed that a career in law was the right choice for me
Everything Else
I was made more than adequately for the week. Especially considering most of the week I was attending events put on by the team and being trained.
I was taken around my department and worked for many members of staff. We also had 2 networking events held by the graduate team
These opportunities were fantastic. I got to work with and interact with partners at the firm, which in itself is impressive. But not only that, I was also able to meet members of each department to help me understand which area of law I was interested in. The whole week was tailored to my needs as a prospective trainee.
Yes lots of the team talked about the different events they were involved in, including a choir and women's networking events.
I would 100% recommend the vacation scheme and the firm
