About You
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Discover EY insight day; not only were the employees very welcoming and accommodating, they offered a true insight into the company and what opportunities undergraduates had within the company. I enjoyed my day with different students, it was interesting and useful at a time when you are applying for different internships and aren't sure which path to choose; EY provides the right guidance and information necessary to make that decision easier.
While attending the vent, everyone is made to feel very welcome and prt of the team. While it is only a day event, the recruitment team treat everyone with the same level of respect and are interested in what you have to say.
The team that I worked with were great in supporting guidance in terms of discussing the opportunities at EY. Senior employees were brought in to explain their division and the activities that were being carried out within each department, thus providing further insight into the different career paths.
As this is only a discover event, thus only one day, the information received was the greatest asset in helping you decide which internship to apply for.
The Company
The full day was structured so that you were constantly networking with employees and fellow students, not a moment was left to sit round. It was a fun and informational day.
The atmosphere was fun and light-hearted. While you were receiving information and are assigned a project to complete, different aspects are brought in, combined with help from graduates that make it fun.
The event gave a full representation of what it would be like to work for a company such as EY; from roles and responsibilities to the work-life balance that you could achieve with talks with current graduates. It provides a realistic view of a full-time role within the company.
Everything Else
EY are fully accommodating when travelling for this event - as I had travelled a long distance and needed accommodation to attend the event, EY were more than happy to help with expenses.
You have the chance to meet with a variety of people within the company; to current graduates to senior managers and directors. You are also in constant contact with the recruitment team who are supporting you along the way
