The Role
Working at Borro was a fun and enjoyably experience as I was able to work closely with High Net Worth clients on a daily basis.
Working within the Sales and Customer Account Team allowed me to work closely with each member of the team and feel valued by them when being trusted with certain tasks.
When starting at Borro, my manager and myself would have bi-weekly meetings to allow guidance and support to be given on areas of my work which needed improvement and development. Also being trained within the team allowed me to develop the right skills when working and dealing with clients.
Working with the Customer Accounts Team, meant that I was given the responsibility to ensure all the administrative tasks where complete, and this was to be completed daily. By working with the sales team this completed the right balance when managing tasks.
As an intern at Borro within the Sales and Customer Accounts Team, I was given a large amount of responsibility early on within my placement and this continued to increase over the year, from sitting in appointments with members of the team to being able to conduct them myself.
Working within an industry for a year has provided me with a great opportunity to understand how a business works and further develop relationships with clients and partners at Borro. This is something that I was able to back to university and put into practice within some of my modules.
The Company
The atmosphere within the office is always lively with a high level of activity occurring on a daily basis.
The work placement was set up very well as it had allowed me to develop skills need to communicate with customers on a daily basis. I was given the right training and development when I first joined to further the knowledge throughout the placement.
When joining Borro was an intern I was given training and development within the Sales and the Customer Accounts team by a member of each team and I was shadowed withing the first few months to ensure i had developed the right skills when speak to customers.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare/Dental
Working at Borro there are great opportunities for future employment, there are many interns that return as full time staff once their degree is completed. Once I had completed my internship and degree I returned as full time member of staff.
The Culture
As there is more than one intern hired each year this allowed for friendships to be formed and therefore allowed us to integrate and get to know each other outside of work.
