The Role
The support and guidance from the company was fantastic , working on my own professional development for life after my placement which was extremely useful.
Everyday at school there was something that needed to be done as no day was the same, from running clubs , supporting the teacher and students and working on lesson plans for interventions.
I learnt not only new skills but how to apply them to life after placement , for example using the skills to give examples in interviews for jobs .
The Company
It was a fun, friendly environment where all core members were able to catch up and share their experiences. You also got to meet other staff who were able to support you and were happy to share their experiences and knowledge for anything.
They had a bridge builder programme which was a mentor who could support you outside of work on professional skills, fixing up your cv , helping to write cover letters and were able to give you insight on their profession/ industry.

The Culture
You could sign up to societies after work for example there was a film that ran which was a social event for core members and staff to chill out and enjoy films together . There was also an events committee for the end of year ceremony to celebrate the placement year and chances to volunteer in sporting events.
