The Role
I enjoyed this very much. The organisation and role were both great
Very much so - they were always proactive in telling me how my contribution would be used and that it was helpful towards the department goals
I was given support when I needed. I was also given plenty of autonomy to be as resourceful as I liked - the main thing was that I was always made to feel comfortable in asking for assistance.
I was always kept engaged but never felt stressed or overwhelmed. It could comfortably fit tasks into my work day and go at a thorough pace.
Given the nature of the work, I would not have been qualified to take on anything much higher level but they gave me plenty of space to manage myself and scope to impress on my project.
I hadn't had an opportunity to present in previous roles so this really filled a gap in my CV. They also had plenty of software that I could learn and I know these will make me far more marketable.
The Company
relaxed, professional and friendly
Incredibly well organised. Its a big organisation with a lot of interns yet I never felt overlooked or confused about any processes.
The intern coordinator was excellent at offering all kinds of workshops and presentations on improving CVs, online profiles, job applications etc. They've certainly helped me be more marketable. They also encouraged you to take initiative on the workskills themselves that you could develop through PDP meetings with your line manager and mentors. My managers were great a adapting the role to fit skills I was keen to improve on. I can't give enough praise to how supportive the organisation was on this point especially.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Very. I've noticed a few roles I will be applying for.
The Culture
It was good in that everyone was friendly. There were plenty of social things to get involved with but due to other conflicts I couldn't attend many.
If you're on a budget there were plenty of cheaper options nearby for lunches and social activities. Same as anywhere else in London it would be difficult to afford moving nearby but the organisation did pay travel expenses.
Plenty of options
Enough
