The Role
This has been such a great experience! I could not have asked for a more supportive manager and team. I have learnt so much and have enjoyed every moment.
My team and manager have been the best! I feel so lucky to have become part of an amazing and inspiring team and wish I could become a permanent member.
One thing I loved about this placement was the fact that I was given so much guidance but was not smothered. I had the chance to branch out and manage my workload while never afraid to ask for help.
The flexibility of my hours and schedule meant that I was able to fit my work around other commitments. I have definitely been kept busy but have managed my time so that I never feel overwhelmed.
I have been given a lot more responsibility than I have had at any other placement. I have enjoyed this and as a result felt like I have been trusted and valued.
I did this after my degree, this experience gave me the skills to move into the workforce and develop skills that I didn't have before. I would love to learn more skills that are relevant to the field I am volunteering in.
The Company
The office is such a cheerful and happy place. Everyone comes together and is supportive. The feeling of the office is busy but never manic, this is something I have thoroughly enjoyed.
Thanks to my manager my placement has been organised. I was given my workload before on the day of my training and was able to start running as soon as possible.
I have had the opportunity to follow anyone within the charity. I have felt that all doors are open and that the charity was willing to invest in me
Flexi Time
Working from home
I would not hesitate to apply for a role with this charity. It has been amazing and I am so happy that I have been asked to stay on for another three months. I hope that I can get a full time role with them as soon as possible.
The Culture
Because the interns are based across the country it is hard t socialise but the Facebook group and intern newsletter has been a great way to keep up to date with everyone
This placement was working from home.
N/A
I was always invited to go out with the team and support them in activities.
