About You
I really enjoyed a lot the spring week. I met a lot of new friends from different parts of the world and many Barclays people who provided me important insights into the company and their work. All people are really nice and always willing to help. After talking with senior people and graduates, I become more sure about what I am going to do in the future.
I was treated like a family. All people are always ready to help and they do offer valuable suggestions for me both in my life and for my future career. I enjoy chatting with Barclays people and learn about their culture and they welcome me as I am a member of them. Really warm place for me.
I did receive fantastic support from all people in group functions. They answered detailedly and patiently to all my questions in all aspects and they are always ready to help me develop myself. Apart from that, I got a lot of suggestions and life experience that might be useful for me all my life from seniors of Barclays.
I did develop skills for life here with Barclays. Through talks with people in different department in Group Functions, I got a detailed knowledge regarding specific work here and different functions each group have. Besides, we've a lot of training regarding soft skills, such as group work skills and communication skills, which are really helpful.
The Company
The insight week is perfectly structured and seamless. The arrangement is quite impact and we kept on learning menée stuff. The network events, the lecturers, the talks, questions and answers sessions.... Everything flowed so smoothly and I did learn a lot. Besides, we have some rest time as well when we could talk more with our peers.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere I experienced during the whole insight week. Fun never stopped! We have interesting working shadowing sessions where we could enjoyed a cup of tea or coffee with current employees and we have interesting interactive talks from people in different groups to present their culture and work in innovative ways like games, group work...
Yes. During my spring week I meet a lot of new people from Barclays. I got to know Barclays' value of respect, integrity, service , excellence and stewardship. Also, through the networking events and talks, I got to know Barclays' culture of being positive, motivated and ready to help. Such kind of culture really has an impact on me and I love to behave the same way as them.
Everything Else
I was paid 250 pounds here to cover all the living expenses. Besides, I was accommodated in an quite good apartment provided by Barclays. We have money in our company card to cover the lunch in Barclays. Moreover, Barclays covered my transportation from PARIS to London. They also sponsored my visa when I was applying for a U.K. visa.
We have networking events almost everyday. On the first day, we had a networking event where we could see many seniors in Barclays in different divisions. Also we met seniors from group functions and talked with them really provided us with decisive industry insights. We also met many graduates in different divisions.
It was really good. We had enough time to talk with the seniors or graduates, listen to their stories, ask questions, share opinions, learn about Barclays culture and get suggestions for our future career. All people treated us very nicely and such kindness of interaction really helped me to know more about work here.
