    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Thoroughly enjoyable placement, the office was full of great, talented people.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My work was totally valued and I was given a lot of responsibility in my role. Both of these factors contributed to a great deal of job satisfaction!

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Help was available when I needed it but most of the work involved a great deal of self-teaching and learning. This was totally expected (and understandable) though and is a skill you must have in order to do well. People aren't there to hold your hands!

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • This is a weird question. 'Bored or too busy' = 1 star? Too busy isn't necessarily a bad thing! Anyway, I was very busy but brought a lot of this upon myself by working hard and putting myself out there.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a large amount of responsibility and thoroughly enjoyed the challenges it brought. However I earned this responsibility by proving myself- do not expect responsibility to come to you!

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Learnt more at this placement than I did in my first 2 years at university. Need I say any more?

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A lively place to work at a fantastic location in London. However don't expect it to be a total laugh in the office- everyone is v busy and serious work takes place.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised- we felt really looked after.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • 2 day training at the beginning of the course followed by the opportunity to go to a couple industry events throughout the year- not bad for a placement!

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    Working from home

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I was offered a grad role :)

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Absolutely- everyone was continually organising events.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Expensive, what do you expect from central London?

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • 4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes lots of volunteering opportunities were available.

    4/5
