About You
I enjoyed the programme very much. Everything is exciting and intellectually stimulating, ranging from case studies to trading game. The people are brilliant in structuring and conveying their thoughts and I learnt so much through the interaction with other spring weekers! Massive thank you to the recruiters for making the event running smoothly as well!
We had the chance to shadow markets analysts in the investment bank and go through case studies with leading experts in banking industry. The emphasis on recruitment is undoubtedly high.
We were assigned a buddy who was very helpful in answering questions.
The analytical and communication skills learnt are invaluable to my personal and career development. This is an invaluable programme with a steep learning curve.
The Company
All the details of the programme are clearly conveyed by the recruiters. The flow of the programme is smooth and I am very thankful for the efforts Barclays put in this exquisite programme.
Friendly and collaborative. People are ready to help all the time and there are frequent communication and networking opportunities for students.
We were given skills development sessions and persuasive presentation introductory sessions, so the investment in recruitment is definitely huge!
We were given brief yet deep introductions into different divisions which help me choose the role that aligns with my skill set and personality the best.
I learnt a lot about the culture and values Barclays employees treasure, and this strengthens my resolve in believing that Barclays is the dream workplace.
Apart from case studies and interactive skills sessions, we were given the unique opportunity to network with employees ranging from analyst to MD in the division we wish to go into. Therefore it helps my decision in choosing the right division for me.
Everything Else
Definitely, a lot in fact! Talking to people at different levels and divisions in the company is a valuable experience.
Very well organised and the number of them is very high as well.
We were introduced into social community projects that Barclays is involved in and I deeply appreciate the fact that Barclays focuses on giving something back and adding value to the society.
Definitely, I think the skills and network built in this programme are unparalleled among other similar programmes.
