About You
I was very positively surprised by the spring week program, since I attended it with no high expectations. It turned out to be very beneficial and helpful, as it grew my network and my knowledge of the department I applied to.
Very! People from junior analysts to MD were all trying to help me out by giving me advice and insight on their work
Again, very much. Everyone offered to help several times. Whenever I had a question or needed help, there was always someone available. Even when I didn't ask for any help
After this week, I have a much clearer understanding of what it means to work in corporate banking (the division I applied to). I also know more about other departments, and therefore I have a clearer sense of my future plans
The Company
It was very well organized. One point is that sometimes we needed to be at one place at a specific time. However, I often came in late because people from my department didn't know I had other things to do so they kept me with them for a longer time. It was a bit hard to tell them that I needed to be somewhere else.
Amazing atmosphere! All the employees were very helpful and friendly and we didn't feel unwelcome at any time.
While I didn't really have the chance to work on something per say, I got to work shadow a lot, and that is also a sort of training.
The spring week made it very clear to me regarding what it would be like to have a full time role with Citi
Very much. We also had the chance to meet with some of the communities at Citi (LGBT, Women...etc)
Again, the spring week made things much clearer in my head. I wouldn't go as far as to say that I'm now a 100% confident about what I'd like to do in the long run, however, I'm much more confident of my future career plans than I was before joining the Citi spring week.
Everything Else
A lot of opportunities. Everyone was open for discussions or for a coffee chat, and the HRs organized many networking events throughout the week.
Very well organized, very helpful. The HRs also organized a networking event with the juniors at a very nice pub, where we had food, drinks, and even games. This made it much easier and much more fun to interact with the juniors.
Yes, during the many presentations we attended
Without a doubt. A great opportunity to truly step inside Citi
