  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • It was a fantastic insight into different practice areas and really helped inform whether pursuing a career in commercial law was right for me.

    • We were well taken care of for the week and our activities were meticulously planned, but we didn't engage in any actual work for the firm so it is difficult to feel that we added value.

    • We received constant support throughout our time at the firm and had the opportunity to speak to people from all areas and levels.

    • It helped me inform my optional module choices and what career path I want to follow.

    • Everything felt meticulously planned and organised.

    • Really friendly, relaxed and welcoming. I felt totally comfortable to ask questions and challenge things whilst on the scheme.

    • The company invests heavily in their scheme with many seminars, case studies and social activities

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • It greatly helped although there wasn't any tangible work done on the scheme.

    • As we had a trip to the Paris office we had great exposure to the firm across a wide range of different departments.

    • Very helpful, it solidified that I wanted to pursue commercial law

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • We were paid £280 for the 4 days and reimbursed for the any taxi ride we had to take.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • There was a networking opportunity at least once a day on the scheme and plenty of socials as well.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?

    • They were fantastic fun and operated on a really flat structure, it was very easy to talk to trainees and partners alike.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • We had a seminar on pro bono opportunities and had the opportujty to talk to people about sports activities in the firm.

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?

    • Definitely, it was a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in commercial law and I had an amazing time.
