About You
The Insight was a five-day program, which covered general presentations on the structure of the bank, the different types of jobs that can be done, and meetings with current graduates and bankers. It was a dense program that I really enjoyed, even though I sometimes felt lost in the technical terms.
I felt very well taken care of. The junior talent team was with us at all times, and explained everything we needed to know in terms of logistics and schedule. We realized how lucky we were to spend some time with managing director with a busy schedule.
We had numerous occasions to talk one-on-one with recruiters, graduates, or even more senior members, which was a great opportunity to ask questions.
The Company
The schedule was very clear, and there was never a time when we had nothing to do, or a day when we were exhausted.
Participants were very nice, and came from different backgrounds, which made for some very interesting discussions.
We had a "professional skills" workshop which is very useful for interviews.
The insight program is too short to truly see what it's like to work full-time at the bank, especially in the Sales & Trading division because we did not get to do work-shadowing due to the confidentiality of the work.
There was a great emphasis on this point.
Everything Else
The networking came halfway through the week, which was the right timing, because we would probably have been too intimidated at first.
They were in small groups, which made it easy to ask many questions.
Yes, definitely! I think anyone willing to work at an investment bank should take part in the program.
