About You
The insights programme has been really interesting and allowed me to gain more knowledge about a career within the financial sector. Everyone was really friendly and it has left me with a great impression of UBS
We were given talks by really senior people within the firm; and so it really felt like they were investing in us. It felt like they wanted us to succeed and that we could be valuable assets for UBS.
Graduates were on hand to help with workshops and games, and the recruitment team were effortlessly efficient. The whole week ran without any glitches, and if you were at any point confused it was really easy to seek help.
The knowledge I have gained has helped me to decide on my career choices. I study a non financial based degree so it won't really help my degree, but is definitely beneficial for my career!
The Company
The structure was really good as we got to experience all the different divisions. We were always busy, which has been exhausting but so much fun.
Everyone was really friendly and got on really well. Everyone wanted to learn but was also willing to help others when they didn't understand.
The firm massively invested in us by giving us talks from senior people and also workshops on how to succeed.
I really felt like we experienced the true culture of the firm; and the work shadowing allowed me to see what people do on a daily basis.
Hugely. We had multiple talks on the foundations and values of UBS which has attracted me to the firm even more.
It has been really valuable as I know have more of an understanding of how an investment bank works and what I would be doing on a daily basis.
Everything Else
We were reimbursed for travel and the hotel. we were provided with breakfast and lunch.
There were always people around to talk to and ask questions in both the group setting and also in the work shadowing.
The social event on the first night was good for getting to know other students however the place they chose was a little odd with very little food available. I think a dinner would've been nicer. But still really good!
Yes they were very keen to tell us about the work-life balance and different schemes that UBS have going on, especially for social initiatives.
Definitely. A great experience and a massive learning curve for me.
