About You
We had some interesting talks from recent graduates, Analysts and MDs about all areas of the business. The new UBS office was incredibly impressive along with the tour of the trading floor.
The presenters were incredibly friendly and happy to answer any questions which made me feel valued. We had numerous networking sessions with graduates who seemed to value us and our questions.
We were allocated a mentor who we shadowed for two sessions (one afternoon and one morning).
This insights week was not packed full of technical information. It was mainly aimed towards the different business areas at UBS and what it was like to work in them. There were however some technical talks which were stimulating.
The Company
We received a pack at the start of the week which had a timetable for the week. This was stuck to very well and we had quite a few different activities to undertake.
My fellow interns were very friendly and there was not a 'competitive atmosphere' which I had read about. The UBS staff were very welcoming and lots of the sessions/group activities were good fun.
