Insights Week Review

The insight week was very interesting. We had many presentations and workshop in order to discover or understand more investment banking. The activities were very varied and relevant.

Everything was designed for us to know more about investment banking and decide wether or not it would be the right career for us ad especially at UBS. I felt very valued because all the week was made to measure for us and we had the chance to participate in presentations and workshops led by very interesting and smart people who took their take time to meet us.

We received many support from the HR who were always here to help us. Also, the people who intervened during the workshops and presentation were very understanding and supportive as they were really opened to answer to any question.

The insight week is very helpful and useful to see what is like to work in an investment bank. So, during the week I had the opportunity to learn many things about the work in this field, but also how to succeed during interviews for an investment banking position.

The week was very well organized and structured, we had a very precise schedule. However the schedule of the last day was not very clear at the beginning. It would have be useful to have access to the schedule of the week before it begin.

The general atmosphere was very pleasant and convivial. All the interns were very nice and friendly, and so was the HR team and all the people we met. They were very understanding, helpful and opened to answer any question or to provide us with further information even if they are very busy.

The firm did not really invested in us in term of technical knowledge but more in term of awareness about the values and the culture in the firm.

As we were able to ask questions to many different people at very different positions (junior, senior), it really helped me understand what working full time in the firm means.

All the people we met represented UBS culture and the activities, presentations and workshops were really designed to make us understand UBS culture.

Presentations from senior workers, panels, workshops, networking events with graduates trading games, trading floor tours were really helpful to decide wether or not I would like to work in an investment bank.

All accommodation and transports were paid by UBS. I had not have to book anything and pay anything by myself. All meals were provided except for dinner.

We had networking lunches and networking breakfasts. Moreover, during all the workshops and the presentations there were senior workers presenting and graduate helping us during workshops and games.

We were able to talk to many graduate in informal sessions which was very useful.

UBS enables anyone to do charity work and very often people are involved in activities outside work.

I would definitely recommend it to a friend. It was one of the most exciting and interesting week I have ever had.
