spring intern Review

It was an extremely insightful event full of a variety of activities, including case studies, presentations and workshops of our chosen division. It was great to have the opportunity to network with a number of employees at UBS that we would not have had the chance to do otherwise.

HR, the staff and other employees were very accommodating and constantly asked us about our experience as the week went on. They encouraged us to participate in all the group presentations and voice our opinions, especially those individuals who were more shy.

The graduates we were workshadowing during the week were extremely supportive and other employees on their desk also took out their time to answer any questions we had. HR were also extremely supportive during the insight.

I developed a lot of networking skills by having the opportunity to talk to employees and meeting like minded individuals on the programme. I also developed my teamwork and collaboration skills through the many interactive sessions during the week, and I feel that these skills will definitely be applicable in the future.

I thought that the numerical in the middle of the week made the atmosphere feel slightly more pressured and geared the whole week after Wednesday towards the assessment centre, whereas the first two days felt like more of an insight.
