About You
I loved it - I got put into the Portfolio Valuation team and they are just the best! More importantly, I didn't just sit at my desk, I was part of the team but also was involved with the activities arranged outside of my department (i.e. departmental talk, city walking tour etc.)
Was treated no different to the team, was expecting to be making teas and coffees - I was so wrong! I was involved with all projects and meetings in the team - I learned A LOT!
Again, brilliant - my mentor was AMAZING - I had questions non-stop and she literally was such a Queen and answered every question. Head of department was brill as was the team. Included me and made me feel welcome and a part.
I benefitted hugely from this Insight as not only will it look great on my CV, but throughout the week I learned a few things that I know will assist my learning at university - more importantly I got a better grasp on certain concepts that I hadn't quite understood in my lectures!
The Company
Insight events were very enjoyable - from departmental talks to drinks with directors and graduates - it was perfect structure as I got to spend enough time in my department and enough time to socialise with the other insight programme candidates.
Savills has really surprised me and I have loved every second - atmosphere was way more relaxed than I thought it'd be but a hell a lot work get done here - so much respect for the teams here and for the brand as a whole
Brilliantly, when needed assistance - assistance is what I got. At no point did I feel like I was abandoned with no clarity of what I was doing.
Definitely gave me an incredible insight and completely changed my whole perception - if anything it made me realise that Savills is the place I want to be at when I graduate.
Before I even knew I had even applied to the scheme, I knew of the amazing culture and standards that Savills valued, if anything being here for a week has furthered my understanding of Savills' culture.
Again, amazing. I've been stressing prior to the scheme, not knowing what sector I want to pursue, but being at Savills has definitely reassured me that there's definitely a department for me - it's just about finding it.
Everything Else
Travel and lunch expenses up to £100.
Meet and Greet lunch with directors and executives, after work drinks with current grads and mentors and plenty of time to ask questions after departmental talks.
Really well organised and so much fun but also incredibly insightful and helpful.
Yes, all about the social and sport activities as well as the charity work Savills does.
100%, it can be scary coming into such a great and well known firm, but it is so worthwhile and helpful and everyone is lovely!!! I hope to be back one day at Savills for a grad job!
