About You
Greatly, it felt like beginning to work with the firm.
While many of the people I shadowed were very busy, employees all went out of their way to find work for me and generally chat both formally and informally.
High amounts. I felt that some of the people helping were struggling to juggle their own work and myself, but they were still highly helpful and couldn't have been avoided.
Greatly. Being granted insight into a variety of different areas has been highly useful in informing potential areas of the industry to specialise in.
The Company
It was left fairly open, but this was fairly positive as I could choose which areas to visit in short notice. The specific time of the lunch break was not set- this was desirable for its flexibility. However, I was unaware of this on the first day. Some people may feel awkward about asking.
Very welcoming. Had lots of fun meeting new and sparky people.
Greatly, everyone made the time to allow me to experience their department.
Very well, just observing others enabled me to see their workload, hours, and variable routines.
Very strongly, being at my own desk in the office, like the actual employees, gave a rather authentic experience.
Everything Else
This was adequate.
Yes, there were multiple evening events which well served this purpose. Even the kitchen was a hub for networking.
Thirsty Thursday was a brilliant opportunity to meet employees, since during working time they were, as is to be expected, rather busy working.
I discovered a fair few of their pastimes, especially considering the short time I was here.
Definitely. Perfect for anyone pursuing any area of Real Estate, or wanting advice on specialisation. Gave the most insight into day to day jobs of employees and the atmosphere.
