About You
I thoroughly enjoyed my week at Savills and wish to gain further opportunities with this firm in the future.
I felt very valued and fitted in well to the London Residential Development team. I would look to gain further practice in other sections of Savills.
I received lots of support and was able to ask anyone questions (however silly they seemed). I was also able to be set projects and work by myself which was great that they trusted me with that!
I believe the knowledge I gained in this week with all the different department overviews has greatly improved my understanding of the sector. This information will help bring to life the theory I am learning at Reading.
The Company
This was the best structured work experience I have ever done! We had a set meetings in our diaries for the whole week and I was busy the whole time.
The general atmosphere during my insight was great. There were a few drinks evenings which meant it was easy to get to know everyone quickly!
The firm invested lots of time in me, with meet and greet lunches with directors to people taking time out of the day to chat to me about what they do. I felt very valued and privileged to have that time with them.
It was a very comprehensive week and Savills explained their company very well and all the opportunities there are to get a job with them.
The insight did help me understand the company culture very well and it has a definite atmosphere of 'work hard, play hard.'
Exceptionally helpful! The insight week has secured my future plans and am able to fully pursue a path in the property in the future.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed expenses up to £100 however this was not sufficient to cover my train travel and felt the amount should be raised to £200.
Yes! We had a meet and greet lunch with directors and associate directors from a range of sections which meant I was able to chat to them about what they do. We also had a drinks evening with the first year graduates which was very fun!
As said above the social activities were great. We also had a drinks evening on Monday which was just for the insight students, this meant we were able to get to know each other very well.
YES! There are loads of sporting activities such as rugby 7's which I was hearing about and days out. All sounds great - loads of opportunities.
YES most definitely. Would do it again for sure! Hopefully I will get the summer internship next year in my second year.
