About You
I thought it was brilliant, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and was very excited to learn about the ins and outs of not only the property industry but Savills as well.
Very much so. I was looked after at all times and there were a lot of organised events such as drinks and talks which showed the depth in which my time at Savills had been planned.
A perfect amount. I was given guided autonomy in what I did. Being given tasks to complete was great and I was able to ask questions about whatever, whenever.
Having just completed a module in valuation at Oxford Brookes, the week working in residential valuation was invaluable and was effectively a series of real world case studies for me to apply the principles I have learnt to.
The Company
I could not fault the structure. From initial application all the way through to giving my access card back knew exactly what was going on. Outlook calendar was very useful.
Fantastic, I was in a lively team who evidently got on well which carried through to my prolonged enjoyment of the week. Most of the other Insight candidates were like minded and a really nice bunch to spend the week with, as well as network with in the Future. Thank you!!
We had a wide array of talks and Savills is the only firm to offer a 1st year Spring week, which speaks volumes.
Well. I was placed directly into a fully functional team and carried out a wide array of tasks. One area that could have been improved is that in the past, whilst on work experience, I have attended a lot of meetings which help bring the client side to life.
Extremely well. Core values were evident and talking to multiple graduates confirmed a very positive company culture.
I have a large understanding of valuation but in terms of depth, I would love to discover more about different departments in the future.
Everything Else
Expenses up to £100 reimbursed.
Many. At director level we had a great lunch which gave me an opportunity to learn about their departments. At grad level I met and talked to loads of very positive Savills graduates who talked more about their pathway to a job and Savills' grad ethos.
Great fun.
To an extent, they were mentioned but not necessarily in depth.
Definitely, I am lucky enough to have friends in both the regional and London offices who have agreed with my sung praises. I would 100% recommend the Insight week.
