About You
I found the overall experience very enjoyable. The people were very welcoming and I got a real understanding of how my department was run.
I felt very valued. The minute I walked in on my first day everyone was smiley and seemed to know who I was. This made me feel less nervous.
I received a lot of guidance from my department and other departments. In particular the graduate which was assigned to me was very patient and explained everything I needed to know.
They will help a lot as they are all relevant to my Real Estate degree.
The Company
The program was well structured overall. There was only one technical glitch with regards to the seminar however, that wasn't the firms fault.
The atmosphere was great. The office I am at has the balance of work and enjoyment nailed!
I received a lot of personal training from the directors and graduate in my department. Similarly when I briefly helped with the industrial department I was taken on a visit which helped greatly with my knowledge of the industrial sector.
Within my department I got a great understanding as to what a full time job would look like. I was fully immersed into the planning department by getting stuck in and looking at planning applications online.
Insight helped a lot with this as I discovered how friendly Savills as a firm is and how it prides in taking care of its employees not only within the office but also socially.
The content was very helpful, However, as I have explored many career possibilities (with the seminars and mentor) it has become even more difficult to decide what I want to do as everything seems appealing!
Everything Else
I was told to send my receipts by email and that I would be reimbursed up to £100.
Yes, although a lot of the directors were busy on meetings however, I had the opportunity to meet some of the other graduates which was useful.
They were good. I went for some drinks with the graduates and we discussed the potential routes that many of them were interested in pursuing.
Yes, in one of the seminars. I found out about the sports teams one could join as well as the vast amount of charity work being undertaken by the firm and how it plays a key part.
Yes, I would. It really helps with broadening knowledge of potential career paths within the property industry.
