About You
Very much enjoyed the experience and felt it was very helpful.
Everyone was very welcome, lots of talks from senior people and in general employees seemed keen to help and encouraged questions and answered emails very thoroughly.
Got good support in general. But would say that guidance to what section would suit someone is something that would be beneficial to many.
The skills that are focussed are key in a business world, and getting taken out of your comfort zone is important.
The Company
Overall good, perhaps more could be done with the first day explaining what sections do. Furthermore having talks from sections after the preferences have been submitted doesn't seem the most efficient way of doing it as people who get attracted to that area may have missed the chance.
Very friendly and approachable in both the candidates that were there and the employees.
Limited individual training but wouldn't expect that in a spring week but the group excercises were effective.
Did help overall, but difficult to understand without doing the job and obviously there are confidentiality issues with that.
Got a real in depth sense of the culture from the people you meet.
The days were very valuable. But perhaps for some having to narrow the shadowing to two sections makes it more difficult.
Everything Else
Ample reimbursing of expenses.
There were plenty, but would always want more.
The events were very good, especially the networking dinner as that was more relaxed and you had a much longer conversation hence got a better sense of the person and their job role.
For those who mentioned it you did, opportunities available were also mentioned just not in too much detail.
Definitely I believe it is key for development and getting an internship, especially for first year students where internship programmes are rare.
