About You
I really enjoyed my spring week in Barclays! What I most liked about it were the people, both the other spring weekers and the employees working in barclays. everyone was so nice and always willing to help each other.
I feel that even though we were only going to be there for 1 week, we got to meet very senior people within the organization and they were always keen on devoting time to us
We received a lot of guidance. The first day I was quite lost but after a few days I felt very confident and I felt that I had learned so much in just a few days.
The amount of things I have learned this week is insane and I consider that all of it will be extremely useful in all my studies
The Company
Everything was very structured and very well organized. During the week we had the opportunity to understand how each division of the bank works and do work shadowing in many areas. This was very very useful as before I did not have a clear idea of how each division worked
The atmosphere was very very good. People were extremely kind and always kind to help where ever possible
The company did really invest in us a lot. We had a lot of work shadowing sessions so we were able to get a very clear and detailed understanding of every department
It helped me understand the roles within the organization. However with only one week it was a bit difficult to really understand the tasks and responsibilities and the type of work that entails a full time role
A lot, it helped me realize that people are the most important part of the organization and they have a culture of helping each other and working as a team
Extremely useful. As we did banking one day and markets another day we were able to have an idea of the area in which we would must like to work and were we think we are more suitable to work in
Everything Else
We were given a quantity of money to cover the expenses we incurred during the week
A lot!!! Everyday we had a lot of opportunities for networking. This was the best part!
Great! We had several networking lunchs and speed networking too. In the networking everyone was very willing to help us and they offered to help us outside of the events too
Yes, we had a networking event where we were able to see all the associations that Barclays has. This was great because I had no idea that Barclays had so many associations were employees can get involved in
For sure!! I would surely recommend it to everyone
