The Role
Challenging but a good atmosphere and very enjoyable.
I was made part of every team I was involved with. Colleagues were more than happy to take the time to chat with me about the company, careers and answer any other questions I had.
I was assigned a buddy and a champion in each department who always checked I was happy, being challenged and knew what I was doing.
Some times were really busy, others were not so busy but this meant I had chance to discuss with colleagues about the work and Deloitte in general.
I was expected to complete my work to a high standard where it could be (and was) sent direct to the client.
Any work experience always builds transferable skills, but this provided skills in the specific area I want to pursue a career.
The Company
Obviously there is always a working atmosphere but colleagues were happy to discuss things. There were plenty of socials and drinks after work where the atmosphere was friendly and far less formal.
Departments knew of my arrival and had work lined up for me. The graduate recruitment team were always on hand to answer questions and provide advice. I was on a rotation between departments which worked seamlessly.
The first week was an induction week where I was taught a lot about the different service lines, Deloitte's principles and values, and how to use the systems used in each department. In departments I was given specific training along with my colleagues where a certain client/project required it.

I have my partner interview this week. Feedback I have received so far from colleagues I have worked with is very positive so I feel confident about the final interview.
The Culture
Fantastic! A mix of casual drinks, big nights out, and non-alcoholic social events such as cinema trips.
I rented a room in East London and would highly recommend it.
I had several epic nights out during my placement!
Deloitte has many social and sports clubs that any employee can get involved in.
