About You
The Spring Week has been a great experience. It was incredibly helpful to learn about the bank, its culture, the departments and the different opportunities it offers. It truly does give you a great insight of Barclays.
Everyone, from the rest of the springweekers to all Barclays' employees, have been very friendly, helpful and respectful.
Everything has been perfectly well-organised: the app, the schedule and all the information given to us on the first day... The Recruiting Team was always available and willing to help us make the most of the Spring Week. Moreover, all the employees I had the chance to meet on networking or work-shadowing activities were fantastic. They were extremely attentive and encouraged me to get in touch with them if they could help me with anything else.
The Spring Week will firstly help me decide what subjects I want to choose at university on the following years, focusing on my future career. Secondly, the networking I did -with other students and Barclays employees- has a huge value. And thirdly, all the activities, such as the CAPP Strenghts or the Speaking Persuassively sessions, will definitely be useful for my academic and professional future.
The Company
Everthing was well-planned and I think we really made the most of the time available.
Everyone was friendly, helpful and respectful. I did not only enjoy myself, but also learned a lot.
The Spring Week was a very unique opportunity available to only a few, which I consider it to be a great investment from Barclays on me. Moreover, having an assessment centre is obviously a great bet on the springweekers.
It is difficult to really get to know a full time role without actually working at it. However, the different talks, cases, work-shadowing activities and networking events do help.
All the different talks and presentations made it clear what Barclays' culture is. However, you could also feel it just by spending time at the bank with the employees.
You will never know what you like more until you actually try a job. However, the Spring Week really helped me to realise what I think I am most interested in and focus on that.
Everything Else
We were reimbursed all the travelling costs, got payed and the accommodation was provided.
We had networking opportunities everyday, which was extremely helpful.
We had networking opportunities everyday, which was extremely helpful.
On the first day we had a specific activity about the outside-of-work opportunities Barclays offers.
Definitely. It was fun, interesting, formative, eye-opening, unique.
