About You
This insight week was an extraordinary learning experience that has allowed me to learn what are the skills needed to work in this industry and the way the bank makes money in meeting the needs of all of its clients. The activities I enjoyed most were the networking events where we had the chance to talk to junior and senior employees to get an insight of how our future job would look like. Especially enlighting to this aspect was the dinner we had on Wednesday, where senior employees would be talking to us the whole night about their jobs, and how they managed to get where they are now
During the programme, the human resource team was always available for any doubt or query we had, and that was something that helped us feel valued and important for the firm. Also, the fact that very senior employees took time of their days to speak to us was really useful. The moment that made me feel most valued was the work shadow opportunity on Wednesday
We were supported all along the week. The human resource team was always available at any time, and we always had an employee guiding us trough every project we had to do. Furthermore, during the group exercises there was always someone observing us and supporting us in any doubt we could have. Never once during the programme I felt that there was not enough support.
As I am a first-year student my financial formation is not very advanced, that's the main reason why everything I have learned during the programme is undoubtedly going to be useful for the future, especially since I want to keep studying finance during my degree. Also the skills I developed during the programme will be helpful for future challenges i am going to face in y career.
The Company
It was the perfect structure. The divisions of preference days in the middle of the week really helped everyone to understand how the banks operate and to acquire enough knowledge to succeed in the final interview the last day. Networking events were also very well thought out and placed in the perfect time slot to be highly useful for the interns.
It was really inclusive and active. The first exercise we were made to do was a complete icebreaker that made us talk to each other, and in my experience this helped network since the very beginning. The work shadow day (markets) was another good example of an active atmosphere, as I had the chance to talk to many employees in an informal way that allowed me to get to know their jobs better
Provided accommodation and paid for the major expenses
A lot. we got the chance to talk to everyone we wished to
Everything Else
The best experience of the week
Very complete and full of different opportunities
