About You
We had the opportunity to meet with BAML employees and have a look into the mechanisms of a major bank.
We were treated with a lot of respect, and senior people of the firm really took the time to get to know us and share their experiences.
We were followed with close attention by the HR team, that was happy to answer all our practical questions.
I have gained insight on how a bank works, and was conforted in my choice of working in Market Finance.
The Company
Great structure.
All other participants were really nice and open minded.
We had the opportunity to work shadow a team and had to do a stock pitch, an exercice during which actual traders and salesmen helped us.
Having the opportunity to spend some time with employees and ask them honest questions gave me a pretty good idea on how they daily life at the bank goes.
A lot.
Everything Else
Since I already lived in London and had an Oyster card I did not have any specific expenses related to the insight.
Specific networking sessions and a networking dinner.
BAML employees were really nice and took time to answer our questions, but the ratio interns to employees was pretty high. It could be useful to provide us with more opportunities, for instance during the lunch break.
We found out about the differents sports team and groups.
Yes definitely.
