About You
I really enjoyed the insight, it was a very busy week where I got to learn a lot about the industry. The atmosphere was also very team-oriented as we had time to meet other interns.
I felt quite valued during the internship. Although it was a one-week internship and we were around 100 interns we could feel that every RH knew our name and that we were all a potential future employee.
If we had a problem we could go directly to the RH team. After each event someone would tell us where we were heading and what was next.
Two skill sessions were organised during the week. During those sessions we learned more about our different personalities and how to improve ourselves. I think the two skills I improved more during this week are my ability to work in a team and my speech skills. Indeed, we had several team works at the end of which we had to present.
The Company
The insight was very well structured and very busy. We didn't waste one second between one and another activity.
The general atmosphere was very friendly. All interns felt really confortable and there was a good team spirit. I really enjoyed it!
We had 2 very interesting skill sessions, different team works and the possibility to talk with professionals. All of these experiences participated to our personal development.
During the division specific day I got to talk with professionals that told me about their experiences at BAML. We also got the opportunity to talk to them during all the networking events (at least 1 per day). The insight week had the quality not to be reduced to a formal and theoretical insight, it was mostly about meeting and exchanging with professionals and other interns.
By meeting many employees and from all the conferences, we quickly integrated BAML culture. If I had to select 3 values I found obvious during this week, they would be diversity, integrity and excellence.
I already knew what I wanted to do but this week was a confirmation that I was right.
Everything Else
Almost every day a networking event was organised.
The networking opportunities were very friendly, they put us comfortable and there are many analysts that are about the same age as us.
We understood that charity is important at BAML and that many employees are involved. I talked to several who haven't the time to participate to it.
I would definitely recommend it.
