About You
Incredibly insightful, not just for the company but for the industry as a whole.
It never felt like I was looked down on just because I'm a first-year student. I felt like everyone assumed we're smart enough since we've reached that stage so I felt really valued.
They explained everything we would ask in a great manner without making us feel incompetent so it felt like we could ask anything.
Now I value my degree even more as in many cases I could make references to what I've studied so even though I don't feel that what I learned at J.P.Morgan is directly applicable in what I'm studying now I'm much more confident in my understanding of how the world operates.
The Company
There wasn't a moment when I didn't have something to do so it was great.
Everyone, from the students to the employees, were really friendly and open so they made me feel like I could easily fit in.
I felt valued not just because of all the special treatment from the programme organizers but more importantly because of the hours all employees spent with us. Knowing how busy they are, spending half of their day with us was the biggest investment I could have asked for
I think they didn't try to only show the nice side of working there, which I admire them for, as I feel like I have a quite realistic idea of what it is like to work there now.
Until now I had an idea of what the culture in J.P.Morgan was and now I understand that it really varies from division to division.
Now I can evaluate much more confidently the pros and cons of working in the industry.
Everything Else
They offered me free accommodation but as I was living in London it felt unnecessary to ask for it.
There were many networking events that gave us the chance to do so.
The atmosphere made it much easier as it felt quite natural every time
We were told about the option to volunteer but I think there are more things than just that.
It exceeded my expectations a lot.
