    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • It was a very enjoyable insight. The only reason why it does not quality for 10 stars is because there was quite a lot of stress and work to do, but overall, an outstanding experience!

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I think no one expected to be welcomed as if we were part of the family already, but overall people did seem to take as serious and valued our opinion.

    3/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • My group project mentor was tremendously helpful and even when we called her at midnight, the day before our presentation, she did not mind it at all and really helped us.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It was a very useful experience. As Finance is not part of my degree, I did not have any previous experience in this sector and its technicals, so I learned a lot.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • 10/10. Very well organised and structured. Great job done by HR!

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • There were a lot of people from a variety of backgrounds and this diversity made for a wonderful experience.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • 4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I think the case study i.e. group project was definitely helpful, but something like being able to work shadow an investment banker would have provided real insights into the work life.

    3/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • I think simply by spending 5 days at the office, I was able to get a better "feel" for and understanding of J.P. Also being able to talk to a lot of people supported this.

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It allowed me to get a greater and deeper insight into what it means to be an investment banker and thus was really helpful in deciding if this is something I want to pursue in the future.

    4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes, but it would have been nice to have a few more opportunities, for example over lunch or a social occasion.

    3/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The event on Monday was still a bit formal and the location was possibly a bit crowded, but the event on Thursday was a tremendous success!

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • 3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Definitely, this insight has been both a lot of fun and it has been very useful in understanding investment banking further.

    5/5
