About You
It was a very enjoyable insight. The only reason why it does not quality for 10 stars is because there was quite a lot of stress and work to do, but overall, an outstanding experience!
I think no one expected to be welcomed as if we were part of the family already, but overall people did seem to take as serious and valued our opinion.
My group project mentor was tremendously helpful and even when we called her at midnight, the day before our presentation, she did not mind it at all and really helped us.
It was a very useful experience. As Finance is not part of my degree, I did not have any previous experience in this sector and its technicals, so I learned a lot.
The Company
10/10. Very well organised and structured. Great job done by HR!
There were a lot of people from a variety of backgrounds and this diversity made for a wonderful experience.
I think the case study i.e. group project was definitely helpful, but something like being able to work shadow an investment banker would have provided real insights into the work life.
I think simply by spending 5 days at the office, I was able to get a better "feel" for and understanding of J.P. Also being able to talk to a lot of people supported this.
It allowed me to get a greater and deeper insight into what it means to be an investment banker and thus was really helpful in deciding if this is something I want to pursue in the future.
Everything Else
Yes, but it would have been nice to have a few more opportunities, for example over lunch or a social occasion.
The event on Monday was still a bit formal and the location was possibly a bit crowded, but the event on Thursday was a tremendous success!
Definitely, this insight has been both a lot of fun and it has been very useful in understanding investment banking further.
