Spring Into Technology 2017 Attendee Review

The job shadowing was a great way to have a tour around the office and see what goes on day-to-day at JPMC. It was a fantastic way to get to know about the process of recruitment and employment, and whether it was right for me or not. They managed to really show how flexible and inclusive the organisation was.

I really got the feeling that JPMC invested a lot into this programme - from the travel costs of dozens of students to booking hotels, providing catering, booking social events (at the bowling alley!), and asking analysts to volunteer their time for us.

The programme's aims were clearly communicated and everyone at JPMC answered our questions in great detail, so the amount of support was very good.

Along with the workshops and Q&A sessions, there were a lot of new knowledge about the organisation in general, as well as how to improve your technical and competency skills in group projects. It got us to think about how the challenges they provided applied to the real world and what we should do to overcome it.

Aside from a few minor time constraints, we were told of the agenda at the very start of the programme and it followed pretty much exactly what was laid out. It was just the right amount of networking and practical challenges.

Everyone at JPMC (and the people who attended) were very enthusiastic and friendly! They even listened to our viewpoints at various points, which was great for discussion.
