The Role
I enjoyed the fact that there were a lot of other placements to work and live with
They got me involved with a lot of their projects and even when I struggled they still valued my input
Both managers met with me every week to review how I was doing
very 50/50. some weeks I would have a lot of work and others would be very medial tasks. It mainly comes down to how much work your team has when your there which can vary due to the multiple engine groups and how long it takes to complete an engine programme
My first 6 months I had a lot of responsibility with the data I gathered from testing being the data that validated an important project. My last 6 months gave me less responsibility as the team I worked in revolved around legality and compliance issues
My organisation, presentation and confidence in my knowledge has greatly improved.
The Company
It is quite a dull office. My team was enjoyable to be in but the rest of the office seemed very quiet
It was very well organised and it showed that they did value us
They allowed me to do various training exercises along with take some trips to other factories and suppliers if needed
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
even though they globally are cutting jobs back, in the Peterborough facility they are growing with a lot of internal promotions and new positions being created
The Culture
a fairly large group of us hung out regularly doing things at the weekend. Could have done more but there was normally someone around if you wanted to do somethinig
Its farely cheap compare to London but it wasn't that cheap due to no uni being near so student prices isn't really a thing
Not great. Much more of a pub area rather than clubs.
Their was stuff to do as there is in any city
