About You
The Tax and Assurance insight was extremely enjoyable. We were given the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the particular service line through listening to the experiences of people who are currently on the graduate scheme as well as Senior Partners.
EY really made us feel valued through out the programme. They put alot of effort into the event and even took us out to a nice dinner on the first day where we were given the opportunity to network.
During the course of the event, the EY staff from the London Office were always available if we had any questions. Also the staff from the EY graduate recruitment team were always available if we had any questions regarding the activities that we had to complete.
The information I received will definitely help me in terms of choosing a particular service line that I may choose to work in the future. The Tax aspect of the programme was particularly interesting.
The Company
It was a very well structured insight! There was a mix of guest speakers who shared their amazing experiences as well as other activities such as behavioral style exercises and presentations. This really kept everyone engaged through out the whole programme.
The atmosphere at the insight was incredible. I had the chance to meet like-minded students from all across the UK which was amazing!
The staff during the two days were very helpful and were willing to provided information and answers to any queries we had. The feedback after the presentations was particularly helpful and will certainly help me in terms of approaching things in the future.
During the talk and panels, everybody learned alot about the various different roles that are available in EY. All the satff were happy to answer questions regarding the service line they were in. This gave us a good understanding and idea of what their job entails of.
The event left me with the impression that EY is certainly a very people oriented company. Also listening to what the EY recruitment team look for in an employee, it was clear that they look for a person with a diverse set of skills not just someone who is numerically excellent.
Everything Else
Accomodation was provided on the first day and the travel expenses were reimbrused. Food was also provided on both days
Yes, we had the opportunity to network with many employees across the two days. The compulsory dinner at the end of the first day allowed us to meet employees who were previously students on the graduate programme.
They were fantastic each day we were given the opportunity to speak to the students of the graduate scheme as well as employees who have been working at EY for several years.
Several employees spoke about the EY company sports teams they were involved such as netball, cricket etc.
Of course, it was a very insightful event where I got the chance to meet talented and intellectual individuals, which was very inspiring.
