The Role
Excellent placement. Programme was very well structured, people treated me as an equal and I was given a lot of responsibility.
Nature of the job means constantly working in teams, you work as a unit and help each other whenever necessary.
I had a councelling manager that gave me a lot of support throughout the year.
I often found that I was either too busy with 5 deadlines in 1 week or had nothing to do. This is however the nature of the job and environment that we worked and did balance out throughout the year. This could be a potential downside of a graduate job.
The Company
Atmosphere within each team was extremely good but as we were based on client sites. I rarely got to see the office. This often meant that I did not feel like I had a permanent role/position.
KPMG have taken on placement students for years and run a very tight programme including introductions and training where necessary.
I attended a lot of training sessions throughout the year and completed the first year of my ACA examinations which were funded by KPMG.

The Culture
I joined with 30 graduates. Very good social scene.
London is very expensive but if you look hard enough you can find some nice cheap(er) places!
Always something going on.
I played for the KPMG netball team on tuesday nights. There was quite a lot of stuff to get involved in.
