About You
The week placement was made considerably enjoyable and engaging. I could not speak about this week highly enough.
Throughout the week all staff where very welcoming and helpful. Hannah Davis (course leader) was very approachable and made me feel considerably valued throughout the week.
The week was fully supported, and at no one point was I not aware of what was happening.
This week developed my skills far beyond my degree, it was very insightful with fellow graduates speaking about there roles and responsibilities within Mace in all different sectors
The Company
A clear timetable was set out at the beginning of the week, making the week very structured and ran considerably smooth. Therefore allowing the most to be made out of our time.
A lovely friendly environment. This was defiantly aided by the wonderful atmosphere around the offices, alongside side all employees that spoke to us and especially Hannah who made is all feel very included.
The company invest a lot in the insight week. We had a number of employee and directors speak to us giving a deep insight into the company. We also partook in CV workshops and interview skills which where considerably helpful at the end of the week.
I got an exceptional insight to the firm throughout the whole week. Within the week i was allowed to shadow an employee within the firm who worked in the sector I was looking to go in. This gave me a great insight to what it is like to work for mace and what he encounter on a daily basis.
As soon as you walk in the office it is clear what the companies culture is. A buzzing friendly atmosphere throughout the whole building, with all employees being friendly and helpful. The culture is exactly what Mace describes itself as.
The week was incredibly valuable in helping me decide on my future. All areas and opportunities within the company where clearly outlined and gave me a great insight to my future.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed travel expenses and give a £5 food voucher for the canteen which was more then enough
Employees were all friendly and sociable, but as it was only a week placement although accessible the week was busy with a number of activities. However all activities involved meeting a number of employees from all areas of Mace.
As only a week there where not a huge amount of opportunities, however Mace still made the week social and a great place to network
These where all displayed and outlined to us. The company do a number of charity event that all employees can get involved in
100% the week engaging and insightful.
