About You
Throughout the week, I enjoyed having the opportunity to gain and exercise a lot of new knowledge and meet new people. It was also quite unique that we had a morning dedicated to volunteering.
There was a lot of effort put in by Graduate Recruitment to ensure our time at the firm was beneficial. There was plenty of networking opportunities to allow us to engage with employees.
From the presentations and workshops arranged, a lot of guidance was given in terms of what to expect when working in the industry and tips. Also, a group task was given to us to create a presentation and analysts were happy to give us guidance on the task. If we had any questions, HR were more than happy to help.
The information I received about the everyday tasks of an Investment Banking Analyst and the guidance on how pitchbooks/ presentations are created was very useful as these are all tasks that are carried out on the job. The technical training session was also useful.
The Company
The insight was very well structured allowing me to gain a comprehensive understanding of Investment Banking and Rothschild & Co. Everything was very efficient.
The small nature of the firm and the fact it is family-controlled made the atmosphere feel more like a community
We had an intense technical training session in the afternoon which was a very good way to build up technical knowledge.
The work shadowing element of the programme and interactions with employees gave a great insight into what a role entails.
Learning about the history of the firm and the values gave a sense of the ethos of the company.
The programme gave me an invaluable insight into Global Advisory and the skills required to be successful in this career path.
Everything Else
Travel expenses were reimbursed and a maximum budget allocated for accommodation. However, it is up to the participant to find the accommodation and pay the upfront cost.
There were many dedicated sessions to network with employees from all levels.
There was a range of opportunities such as lunch, an afternoon tea with the directors, work shadowing.
Excellent programme
